Lisa Gates, President/CEO, is committed to positively impacting the lives of both our residents and staff. Her 21+ years here within the Friendship Village family has been fulfilled with her ability to work in a community where her faith in God can be expressed. She started out her career here in 1993, volunteering on the Friendship Village Board and resigned as President to become a dedicated Village employee in 2000. Since then she has held the position of Chief Financial Officer to now President/CEO.

As President/CEO, Lisa is responsible for ensuring that the Mission of Friends of Faith is being achieved, advancing the expectations of the Friendship Village Board, develop strategic planning, and provide avenues for the leadership team to learn and grow in their skills. She is passionate and devoted to providing a vision for the future of our Friendship Village communities.

Lisa is a leader and uses her skills throughout the Cedar Valley and beyond as the House of Hope Vice President and a member of the Finance Committee. She is on the Board of the Mercy One Foundation and serves on the Finance Committee of the Leading Age Board. 

Her time outside of work is filled with family, traveling and experiencing new places and cultures, reading a good book and spending time outdoors.
