Friendship Village Retirement Community

Emily Bio

Since 1996, Emily Riedemann has called Friendship Village her home away from home. Emily started her career with our community working as the Dining Director at Rosewood Estate. At this same time, she was attending the Culinary Arts program at Kirkwood Community College. Since 2020, she has transitioned roles from Director of Rosewood Estate to Friendship Village Dining Director and now holds the role of Vice President of Campus Life.

Her days went from making delicious home cooked dishes to conducting tours and helping seniors find their new homes to again, crafting up menus and serving food for all to look forward to. Now, she oversees several departments and helps fulfill the lifestyle and culture here at Friendship Village. Her goal is to ensure excellent customer service and hospitality to the residents of Friendship Village.

Emily appreciates “Working for an excellent company that focuses on a culture of trust, growth and kindness to others while also having the privilege of investing in the lives of the residents and staff.”

Emily stays busy outside of work by volunteering at local shelters, teaches and serves in community outreach programs, and shares her culinary skills by meal prepping and cooking for family and friends.
