Village Treasures Gift Shop

Our Auxiliary opened a new gift shop this summer with all proceeds going to benefit our Residents in higher levels of care. Find something that you didn't know you were looking for, like handmade crafts, artwork or snacks. Check out the Friendship Village swag including shirts, mugs and sweatshirts.

We are open Monday through Friday from 2-4pm at Village Terrace, 600 Park Lane in Waterloo.

Benefits of Intergenerational Connection
September 11, 2-3pm

How do we all benefit from intergenerational connections, whether in families or friend groups? What do we learn from each other? Take part in this topic exploration talk on September 11, from 2-3pm. Location: Cove Lounge at Village Place, 3720 Village Place, Waterloo. RSVP to 319-486-1680.

Blood Drive
September 18, 10:30am-4pm

The American Red Cross has declared its second-ever national blood supply crisis after blood donations fell to a four-year summer low. Help us answer the urgent call for blood donations by joining our Friendship Village Blood Drive. Your donations save lives and provide help for people undergoing a wide range of circumstances, including serious injuries (such as in a car crash) surgeries, childbirth, anemia, blood disorders, cancer treatments, and many others.

Your donation could be the difference!

Free community concert with Jay Allen
September 25, 5:30-8:30pm

Friendship Village is proud to be a sponsor of this free community event to support Alzheimer's Awareness with special speakers and a concert by Jay Allen, Country music star who calls Cedar Falls his hometown.

Known for his philanthropic work spurred on by his mother’s passing from Alzheimer’s in 2019, Jay has gone on to raise over $160 million to help fight the disease with his viral song “Blank Stares”.

The Eisenachers
September 29, 6-7pm

Get your Polka on! The Eisenachers are Waverly, Iowa’s own polka band, known for their lively traditional sets and a long history of high-energy performances that will keep your toes tapping.
